Our Approach

At the heart of our approach to Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) is a commitment to holistic, evidence-based care that prioritises full recovery and a return to meaningful function. As a collaborative team of a Physiotherapist and Clinical Psychologist, we integrate the mind and body to address both the physical and psychological aspects of FND.

Our focus extends beyond symptom management—we are dedicated to supporting your long-term rehabilitation, helping you rebuild control, confidence, and independence in your daily life. By tailoring our approach to your unique needs, we aim to empower you with the tools and strategies necessary for lasting improvement and enhanced quality of life.

Whether you’re facing challenges with mobility, fatigue, or other FND symptoms, our goal is to guide you toward meaningful progress and help you reconnect with the activities and experiences that matter most to you.

Our Story

At Let’s Talk FND, our journey began with two paths that crossed at just the right time. Daniella Siciliano, a clinical psychologist with nearly two decades of experience, and Liz Pearson, a physiotherapist with over 30 years of expertise, came together with a shared mission: to transform the way Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) is understood, treated, and supported.

Daniella’s story started almost 20 years ago when she first encountered FND as a young psychologist. Captivated by the intricate connection between the mind and body, she saw FND as a complex puzzle waiting to be solved. Over the years, she has worked tirelessly to help individuals understand this often-misunderstood condition, empowering them to improve their quality of life.

Liz’s journey with FND began in 2016, not as a clinician, but as a patient. Despite her extensive background in physiotherapy, she had never heard of FND until she received the diagnosis herself. Armed with little more than a sticky note and no clear guidance, Liz embarked on a challenging recovery journey. Through determination, research, and resilience, she not only reclaimed her life but also discovered a passion for helping others navigate their own paths to recovery.

We met at an FND clinical symposium and immediately connected over our shared passion for reducing stigma, improving recovery rates, and bridging the gap in care for people with FND. We quickly realised that the existing services often failed to integrate the mind and body aspects essential for recovery. This realisation inspired us to create Let’s Talk FND, a platform dedicated to providing evidence-based education, practical tools, and a supportive community for individuals with FND, their supporters, and clinicians.

At Let’s Talk FND, we believe in a holistic approach that combines our clinical expertise with lived experience. Together, we aim to empower individuals not just to manage their symptoms but to thrive. Our services include webinars and client resources, clinician training, and multidisciplinary support, all designed to make complex information accessible and actionable.

We are passionate about creating a space where people feel seen, heard, and supported. Whether you’re newly diagnosed, a supporter, or a clinician, Let’s Talk FND is here to guide you on this journey. Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of those affected by FND.

Welcome to Let’s Talk FND—where hope, clarity, and empowerment come together!
